week 4 carpentry. introduction to the use of levelling equipment in preparation for site profiling. dumpy level and tripod, vertical staff. setting up the tripod. making sure the bubble is located within the circle by sighting through one of the 3 adjustment thumb wheels and checking through other two. batter boards, boundary pegs, stakes and braces. using 3-4-5 triangle to set up right angle. measuring platform levels to FFL (finished floor level).

getting familiar with power tools on site. learnt how to connect up the RCD (residual current device) and power leads. familiarisation with power tools: circular (skil) saw, planer, jigsaw. getting signed off by tutors in our portfolio. we are site safe.
